A lot of "episodes" are being created as of now, and the game is still in demand. And thus, a remarkable project was killed.īut even so, it is still being played. After some time, the domain was also taken over by Nintendo. Unfortunately in April of 2011, Redigit received a call from the lawyers of Nintendo, who demanded the removal of SMBX and the halt of development. The built-in level editor allows you to not only edit levels alongside with an engine to debug them in real-time, but also allows the player to create full-fledged episodes with a plot! It features game elements from classic games such as Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda, etc. It is viewed as one of the all-time best fan games about Mario.
